The village which has been existing since the Middle-Ages is known for the well-established Vadása-Lake with its crystal-clear water fed by 12 springs. It has been one of the most well-known holiday resorts for decades.

It was established in the 20th century by the Sigray dukes. Later on they left the area unobserved. 1968 the local inhabitants began to restore the lake. Since that time it is one most favoured holiday spots in the region.
